New 70 series tire from BKT reaches VF level

The AGRIMAX FACTOR from BKT passed the DLG (German Agricultural Society) test with flying colors. The latest member of BKT's 70 series set new standards for standard tires in the resource conservation module test – and achieved performance values that are otherwise more common for tires with VF technology.

With the AGRIMAX FACTOR, BKT is expanding its own portfolio with a modern tractor wheel tread for combined use on fields and roads. The tire was tested by the DLG in the dimensions 710/70 R 42 and 600/70 R 30 – and was awarded the 'DLG-ANERKANNT' (DLG-APPROVED) test mark. 'We are delighted with this impressive result. The AGRIMAX FACTOR proves that modern technology can be at the forefront of the 70 series today,' says Thomas Pott, General Sales Manager at Bohnenkamp SE.

Best values for soil conservation and fuel consumption

The AGRIMAX FACTOR is optimised for reduced air pressures and proved in tests under realistic operating conditions to provide high soil protection while maintaining efficient surface performance. The DLG examiners attest to the tire's very low ground pressure at a depth of 40 cm: at 0.13 bar with an internal tire pressure of 0.6 bar, the model achieves the best value in the comparison field. The track depth of 6.5 cm is also remarkably low in this setting. It is a full 18% below the worst comparable tire.

In addition to the soil structure, fuel consumption and work performance also benefit. In field operation, the AGRIMAX FACTOR is 1.7 % below the average consumption; in road transport, the saving is 0.3 %. The measured area performance of 2.60 ha/h means a value slightly above the average of the comparison tires. The comparatively constant consumption over the entire speed range is also noteworthy, which is particularly beneficial in transport operations.

High-quality construction with modern polyester carcass

The AGRIMAX FACTOR owes its high efficiency in part to its modern polyester carcass – a unique selling point in the 70 series. The carcass ensures particularly even pressure distribution and enables performance on a par with modern VF tires.

In addition, the FACTOR is equipped with an above-average tread height of 70 mm. The flat bead geometry helps to reduce ground pressure and increases stability at low pressures. The tread design was developed for combined use on fields and roads and combines traction, wear resistance and efficiency.

Wide range of applications and excellent ride comfort

With its rugged construction, M+S marking and performance with reduced air pressure, the AGRIMAX FACTOR is ideal for mixed use in everyday agricultural applications. The driving behaviour is balanced – even at higher speeds. The DLG notes quiet running behaviour and low vibrations during transport. The measured seat vibrations were below the average of the comparison tires, which has a positive impact on driving comfort and reduces strain on the driver.

DLG-approved in the resource conservation module

The AGRIMAX FACTOR successfully passed the DLG individual test and bears the 'DLG-ANERKANNT' seal of approval in the resource conservation module. The test was carried out with tires in the sizes 710/70 R 42 (rear) and 600/70 R 30 (front) on a standard tractor in the 200 hp class. Ground pressure, track depth, fuel consumption and surface performance were evaluated under defined operating conditions – supplemented by measurements of vibration, traction and behaviour at different speeds
