"It should be three tons of material," says team leader Karen Beck from Bohnenkamp AG, defining the quantities for the new service offered by the wholesaler from Osnabrück. From this quantity, the wholesaler's certified partners for tyres and wheels move out and collect the used tyres on the agreed date. For the new nationwide service, all you need to do is call the used tyre recycling team at Bohnenkamp's headquarters in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony. From here, the company coordinates all further steps together with the local recycling partner. This service is currently available to customers in Germany. Expansion to other countries is currently being examined.
"Our service covers every step from accepting the order to collecting the used tyres and invoicing," says Ms Beck, explaining the recycling service. The new service rounds off Bohnenkamp AG's service promise for tyres, wheels and rims. After all, the extensive and varied range of services had previously excluded the end of a tyre's life. Bohnenkamp is now also setting standards here: "Energy recovery in accordance with the highest environmental standards or safe return to the material cycle are important to us together with our certified service partners," emphasizes Karen Beck.
BKT bonus at the start for every ton of used tyres
"We are constantly trying to meet the needs of our customers with suitable offers. We realized that the disposal of used tyres had to be made easier for our retail partners," says Thomas Pott, General Sales Manager, looking back. After careful preparations, the company was able to provide a preview of the recycling service in the summer of this year. The celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of the partnership between Bohnenkamp and the manufacturer BKT provided the perfect setting. The renowned manufacturer is actively accompanying and supporting the launch of the new project with a recycling bonus per ton of used tyres.

Strengthening services while remaining true to the wholesale concept - this strategy has worked for Bohnenkamp AG for seven decades now. Pott: "For this reason, our future as a wholesaler is also service-oriented!"
For decades, the Osnabrück-based tyre professional has focused on providing comprehensive application advice by telephone or on-site at the customer's premises. In Germany alone, Bohnenkamp employs around 100 people who are in direct contact with customers and can be reached during extended service hours. The tyre wholesaler thus offers one of the largest advisory teams for special tyres in Europe. The service portfolio also includes the joint customization of tyres and special rims with partner companies.
