Like the Unimog, the Alliance 398 high-speed MPT tyre is designed for a wide range of on- and off-road applications. Off-road, steep lug angles in the shoulder area ensure excellent traction even in deep, wet soils. On the road, on the other hand, the tread pattern shows significantly reduced rolling resistance, excellent self-cleaning properties and pleasant driving comfort even at high speeds. Thanks to its wide range of applications, the Alliance 398 has now gained numerous fans. The tyre is now available at Bohnenkamp in the classic Unimog sizes 445/70 R 24 and 495/70 R 24.
The highly variable internal pressure range is particularly interesting for use on the Universal Motor unit from Mercedes Benz. In the field, the Alliance 398 can be driven safely and very gently on the ground at low pressure, while on the road it is fast and fuel-efficient at a maximum of 6.5 bar. The Alliance 398 is approved for speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour. At such high speeds, the Alliance’s S-shaped centre lugs ensure stability and smooth running.
Other advantages are the solid all-steel construction of the carcass and that it also carries heavy loads and reliably protects against punctures. Furthermore, it ensures long durability and optimal heat dissipation.
Conclusion:
When the Alliance 398 was launched two years ago, Alliance already had more efficient agricultural logistics in mind. Since then, the tread has proven itself in the interface between transport and agriculture. With its speed and performance tread, the all-terrain all-rounder is recommended for the Unimog as well as for agricultural and forestry trucks.
