Rugged special treads for a wide range of applications, plus plenty of tyre know-how - this is what visitors will experience at the Bohnenkamp stand at bauma (outdoor area North, FN.1115/1) from 24 - 30 October 2022. Here, the tyre and wheel specialist has mounted four treads for different surfaces on a contemporary wheel loader, demonstrating the highly individual tyre solutions for different requirements that are now available. "Whether gravel, sharp-edged metal scrap, grit or on snow in winter use - we have the right tyre solution in stock for every surface and every vehicle," promises Thomas Pott, Head of Sales at Bohnenkamp AG. The tyre specialist has also brought an impressive tread selection for excavators to Munich.
Wide range for earthmoving, ports, industry and construction sites
Established throughout Europe, the commercial vehicle tyre specialist has massively expanded its range of EM and industrial treads in recent years. It includes more than 1,500 items - from construction and industrial tyres to rims, tubes and accessories. Evidence of this diversity is the more than 230-page catalogue "Earthmoving, Ports, Industry", which illustrates Bohnenkamp's entire product range. "After years of our agricultural catalogue being regarded as the standard work on the subject of agricultural tyres and tyre technology, we are now on a similar path with our new EM catalogue," says a delighted Karsten Krückeberg, Head of the EM & Truck Business Unit. Prominently represented in the range is the manufacturer BKT, whose Earthmax series offers high-performance treads for the entire EM application spectrum in consistently high quality. Other manufacturers in Bohnenkamp's EM range include Nokian, Alliance, Michelin and Dunlop.
Maximum availability thanks to logistical strength
In addition to the wide range of products, trade partners particularly appreciate the extremely high availability of all products. Around 1.5 million items are stored on around 100,000 square metres in the central Bohnenkamp logistics unit at the headquarters in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony. Delivery is usually made the day after the order is received, giving buyers maximum flexibility. On request, Bohnenkamp AG even supplies vehicle manufacturers with customised products "directly into the production process," as Thomas Pott emphasises.
Proximity, competence and reliability for EM practitioners
The range is rounded off by a high level of technical consulting expertise and professional support from an experienced team of specialists. Over the phone or on site and, if necessary, also directly at the end user's premises, around 60 employees advise the trade and machine manufacturers on questions about the suitable tread for specific applications or on upgrades and retrofits, amongst others. Even custom-made products for highly specialised applications that are not available on the market can be discussed and developed in person. "Our EM specialists are known for their reliability in technical and professional matters, and they are happy to share their knowledge in direct exchanges," says Pott, praising his team. The deep know-how is based on more than seven decades in the tyre business. In addition to Bohnenkamp's own specialist personnel, the manufacturer BKT also supports the mutual customers with technicians on site if required. The close partnership between Bohnenkamp and BKT throughout the German-speaking region has already enabled many an individual niche solution in the construction and industrial sectors.
