Tyres on a terminal tractor unit have to be completely robust and hard-wearing. High mileage on a mostly uneven floor or one afflicted by foreign objects ensures the need for a cut-resistant and strong carcass. As the vehicle is mostly used outdoors, good traction and wet grip along with a particularly low-wearing rubber compound are necessary.
